Check in starts at 3pm. If needed, we can provide a self check in code with instructions that we will text to your cell phone number.
We try our best to accommodate your check in, however, if you require access to your room before 3pm, please reserve it for the night before to guarantee its availability.
Check Out time is 11 am.
Please turn in your key by 11am to avoid another day’s charge.
We are happy to hold your luggage while you go out to enjoy the day.
Cancellation Policy
To secure your reservation, we require a 50% deposit at the time of booking.
At 14 days prior to your arrival, the remaining balance of your stay will be charged to the credit card on file.
For special events, 60 days prior to your arrival the remaining balance of your stay will be charged to your credit card on file.
Special events include but are not limited to: Mardi Gras, Jazzfest, Super Bowl, Tulane/ Loyola Graduations and other special university events, Final Four, Essence Fest, French Quarter Fest, concerts and some conventions.
Any booking that includes more than one room under the same credit card will be considered a Special Event booking and is subject to a 60-day cancellation policy. For the safety and security of all guests, reservations with multiple rooms must include the full name and cell phone number for each guest assigned to each room.
Early departures, late arrivals and no shows are non-refundable. The full amount of your stay will be charged and the deposit forfeited.
To avoid any confusion, we do require requests for changes or cancellations to be sent in writing to info@gvbb.com. Changes & cancellation requests can not be taken over the phone.

We do understand that life creates unexpected situations, we strongly suggest that you purchase trip insurance if you are concerned about any situation that may create a late cancellation ( flight delays, bad weather, illness or death in the family)
We do thank you for direct bookings with the Grand Victorian. If you book through an online travel partner, 100% of your payment for your stay will be charged at the time your reservation is made. Cancellation, for all online travel partner bookings, is 30 days notice for standard stays and 60 days notice for special events prior to your arrival date. Cancellations with less than 30 days for standard stay and less than 60 days for special events, are non-refundable.
We have a unique experience at the Grand Victorian, and because of the size of our inn, we do not host groups or events.
Reservations are non-transferrable.
Reservations
To secure your reservation, we do require a 50% deposit at the time of booking.
Every booking requires a 2 night minimum stay. If you need a shorter stay, please call or email us. We will be happy to check availability.
Special events, of course, may require a longer minimum stay.
Our guest rooms are for single or double occupancy only. Rollaway beds /air mattresses are not available and may not be added to our guest rooms. The occupancy count for each room is the total number of guests allowed to stay in that room.
If booking more than 1 room, under your name, for the safety of all of our guests: you must provide: full name & cell phone number for all guests staying in each room.
For the safety & privacy of all of our guests, only registered guests will be allowed in guest rooms & in the common areas. Visitors without a reservation (bridesmaids, photographers, make up artists, etc) are not allowed access to the inn without prior approval by the innkeeper. Especially for Mardi Gras & other special events.
Upon check in, the credit card on file will hold a $250 deposit for every room under that credit card for incidentals.
Reservations are non-transferrable.
Occupancy Rate and Access To Premises
All of our rooms have a max 2 person occupancy. For children under the age of 18 years old, there is a $75 per day fee. Anyone 18 and older, should reserve their own room. We do not allow rollaway beds, blow up mattresses or cots of any kind.
We reserve the right to cancel your reservation if there are more guests than we can accommodate at any time, which will result in forfeiting the entire booking funds.
For the safety and privacy of all of our guests, during Mardi Gras and ALL other events, visitors without a reservation are not allowed access to the house without prior approval from the innkeeper.
Children and Pets
Children under 12 and pets would be happier in a more conventional environment. Please let us know if you need help with local pet boarding options.
A $250 hold will be placed on your credit card for incidentals or room damage.
Please note that guests are responsible for the full cost of any damage to the room or its contents. If repair or replacement costs exceed the initial $250 hold, the remaining balance will also be charged.
House Rules
Thank you so much for staying with us. In our nearly 30 years of being in business with guests from all over the world, we have experienced a lot of things. Here are some House Rules for the safety and security of all of our guests and staff.
- No parties, events or unregistered guests are allowed in the house without innkeeper’s written approval
- We do not accept local guest reservations without prior written approval from innkeeper
- The property does have 4 security cameras outside of the house by all doors and 2 cameras inside in the common areas facing the front door and the 2nd floor balcony door- this helps us to track of everyone that enters the house and allows us to make sure that all doors are properly closed at all times.
- There is a 2 people max per room, as per the New Orleans City fire code for our property. Cots, rollaway beds, blow up mattresses, sleeping bags are not allowed.
- There is no smoking, vaping, use of drugs or firearms allowed on the property (inside or out) at any time.
Cooking equipment (BBQ pits, hot plates, etc) are not allowed on the property. - As per city code in our residential neighborhood, we ask that you keep
Quiet Hours between 10pm- 6am for 7 days of the week. - Pets are loved here, but not allowed to stay with us.
- There will be no commercial use of this property without prior written approval from the innkeeper (photo shoots, meetings, group gatherings, etc)
- We offer complimentary internet service to all guests as a courtesy.
We can not be responsible for any outages of this service, as we do not have control of the local service provider. - No mail or packages may be sent to the property for any reason.

By booking a reservation with us, this means you fully agree to all of our house rules. We do reserve the right to cancel your reservation immediately without refund and request payment in full for any damages as a result of violating any of the house rules. Any firearm/drugs left behind in your room will immediately be turned into the local authorities. Thank you so much for your understanding.

Do you have handicapped accessible accommodation?
The Oak Alley Room of the Grand Victorian is handicapped accessible and fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Located off of the dining room on the first floor, this spacious and light-filled room offers wider doorways that provide un-obstructive maneuverability for wheelchair access, a lower queen size bed, and a private bath featuring a hand-held shower head, handrails, and roll under sink.
The entrance to the inn includes a wheelchair ramp for navigation into the inn so all guests can enjoy our Victorian parlor, dining room, and the porte cochere balcony.
Because we are located in a residential neighborhood on a corner lot, there is ample on-street parking. There are 3 spaces directly in front of the house on St. Charles Avenue and 4 along the side of the house on Washington Avenue.
