Hosted by the Crescent City Fitness Foundation, the Crescent City Classic 10k is one of the premier races held annually in New Orleans. Racers begin in the historic Jackson Square, run through the financial district and along the colorful Esplanade Avenue and finish at City Park. Following the race, runners and the public are welcomed to join the Foundation for a post-race celebration. This year’s race will be held on Saturday, April 23 with new upgrades for the participants including a chip for every racer that reads the most precise race results!
Whether you’re participating in the race or watching as a spectator, there are other great events going on throughout New Orleans. In the midst of the seasonal festival, stop by the French Quarter for the Fifth Annual Wine Festival, featuring wines from California, Oregon, Washington State, Italy, France, and Argentina. On Friday, April 22, the VooDoo Arena Football team takes on the Pittsburgh Powers in the Superdome. After the race festivities, you can watch famous rock artist, Uncle Kracker, perform at Harrah’s downtown on Saturday, April 23.
The Grand Victorian is the perfect location to relax and rejuvenate after the race while still enjoying the excitement of the Crescent City. With only a streetcar ride away from downtown, guests of the inn experience the hustle and bustle of downtown New Orleans while residing in an estate along St. Charles Avenue. There isn’t a better place to recover!
